There is no direct flight from Singapore to Boracay, hence we took Jetstar to transit at Manila and took Airphilexpress to Caticlan from Manila. The journey does not end here as we took a ferry from Caticlan to Boracay and finally a trishaw from ferry terminal to our hotel. phew, we flew off from SG at 6am and reach the hotel at 3pm.
The lil plane we took during our transit flight..
Our main form of transport ard boracay island
I love the hotel that the bf has booked for us - District Boracay. It is conveniently situated next to D mall with a simple & stylish design.
On our way to the hotel, we bumped into tour guides nino & mark who tried to sell us some island hopping packages. We bargained v hard with them & manage to pay 6200 pesos (abt $200) for island hopping, helmet diving, snorkling, parasailing & buggy driving. In the end we realised they only earned 10% of this n each week they only get 2-3 customers. Oh well.. Sigh.. Do look for them if u r there.. Nino's contact: 09196391375. Qt a friendly duo :)
After checking in we took a stroll along the white beach :)
We took a photo of this n 2 kids ran up to us to ask for tips!
Took a break at jonah's shake & i indulged in some mango milkshake while the boy had papaya milkshake. We cldnt finish it! It was huge!
Dinner was at this Valballa bistro at D mall & we over ordered. I m qt sure i have gained weight from this trip!
The french onion soup is sooo good!
I ordered pork cooked the pino style. Tasted good but a tad too tough. Gained some muscles from cutting up the meat!
Took a walk around d mall after dinner to appreciate the night life. As we r not party animals, we call it a night after buying some haagen daaz ice-cream to chill in our room!
Came back to find some sweets left by the hotel staff. How thoughtful.
And sidetrack abit.. My daily essentials haha
Day 2 is more eventful as the day is packed with island hopping, snorking & helmet diving. Even managed to throw in a spa treat for ourselves. Will blog bout that later!
